Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Tongsri chaired a planning meeting for the Health Promotion Fund's 2570 operational plan on August 9, 2569, focusing on expanding health promotion work across all provinces with concrete performance indicators. The fund has operated for over 20 years in partnership with network stakeholders and outlined five core policy directions: adhering to 10-year strategic targets, achieving sustainable health outcomes through partnerships, leveraging data and artificial intelligence, addressing health inequities and emerging disease risks, and mobilizing all sectors including government, private business, and civil society.
Fund Manager Dr. Pongtep Wongwatchraipaibuul explained that the 2570 plan uses the Thaihealth Working Model to establish key performance indicators across 15 programs. Major initiatives include developing over 2,000 prototype health-promotion communities nationwide, improving health literacy among children and youth, reducing risky behaviors such as smoking and e-cigarette use, and advancing policies on drugs and alcohol control. The fund also set a central agenda to deploy location-based data analysis to build economic resilience and health protection, with success measurable within one year through integrated multi-sector coordination across the country.
