The Bureau of the Budget reported that spending in the first 10 months of fiscal year 2569 reached 3.19 trillion baht, or 84% of the total budget. The bureau expressed confidence in accelerating investment spending in the final two months to meet the target of 75% by year-end. Bureau Director Patrisia Mongkolvnich disclosed that out of the 3.38 trillion baht budgeted under the Appropriation Act, 89.6% has been committed and 3.19 trillion baht, or 84% of the total allocation, has been disbursed as of July 31, 2569. Regular expenditures have reached 91.4%, meeting planned targets, while investment spending has committed 651,000 million baht or 81.1% of the investment budget and disbursed 470,000 million baht, representing 58.57%—only about 2% below the monthly target of 61%. The bureau remains confident that over the final two months of the fiscal year, investment spending can be accelerated to reach the Cabinet's target of 75% by fiscal year-end. Regarding concerns about a private company that won a bid for a flood drainage tunnel project in Bangkok who is currently undergoing debt restructuring through bankruptcy court, Bureau Director Patrisia clarified that at the time of bidding, the company had not been delisted from the business registry and was not in a disqualified status, so it retained the right to participate in the bidding process according to regulations. As of August 4, 2569, Bangkok has not formally requested the Bureau of the Budget to investigate this matter, and the bureau continues to monitor the situation through normal channels without interfering in the implementing agency's operations. The Bureau of the Budget maintains a system for evaluating the qualifications and operational performance of contractors according to standards, with the latest assessment round recently closed and under review. Any contractor failing to submit data or participate in the assessment will be removed from the system according to regulations.
