Thailand Open Cycling Stage 3 Revs Up In Chainat
Stage 3 of Thailand's cycling championships takes place in Chainat on August 15-16, 2025, featuring challenging mountain bike and road courses through two national parks that will test riders' endurance across flat and uphill terrain.
General Decha Mekkrasri, vice president of the Asian Cycling Confederation and president of the Thailand Cycling Association, announced that the association is organizing the Thailand Open mountain bike and road cycling championships stage 3 in Chainat on August 15-16, 2025. The race will take place within Mueang district using routes through Khao Phlawng and Khao Kabai, with live coverage on Facebook and YouTube's TCA Channel. Mekkrasri noted the course is highly challenging, featuring both flat and uphill sections that will test riders' fitness and leg strength. Riders competing in both categories must prepare thoroughly to perform their best. The cumulative points leader across all four stages will become Thailand champion and receive the royal trophy. Chainat Governor Phumiwatch Udomtharps has held preparatory meetings with relevant agencies and personally inspected the race route. The event is expected to attract over 2,000 cyclists and supporters from across Thailand, stimulating the local economy and tourism. After the competition, visitors can tour Chainat attractions including Nong Noi Chainat bird park—Asia's largest—Bhumibol Dam viewpoints, and several temples including Wat Pak Khlong Makham Tao and Wat Thammamun to pay respects. Deputy Governor Vishnu Vidthayaravat welcomed all cyclists to participate in the August 15-16 event, noting that the finish line location will be a surprise.
