Thailand Tourism Board Hosts 31 Chinese Influencers for Content Creation
Thailand's Tourism Authority hosted 31 Chinese influencers at a mid-autumn celebration in Bangkok to create content showcasing Thai tourism, culture, and lifestyle for Chinese audiences through the Nihao Month 2026 program.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand welcomed 31 Chinese content creators under the Nihao Month 2026 program at the Amazing Thailand Mid-Autumn Celebration 2026 held at One Bangkok in Bangkok. Cultural advisor Yang Xiaolang from China's embassy and Tourism Authority Director Thapanee Kiatpibul co-hosted the event, giving influencers hands-on experience of Thai products, services, and diverse tourism experiences before creating content to share Thai charm with their Chinese followers. The program aims to build awareness and interest in Thai tourism among high-quality Chinese travelers by showcasing Thailand's appeal across food, culture, nature, health and wellness, and local lifestyles through authentic travel stories.
Thapanee Kiatpibul stated that the mid-autumn festival and China's Golden Week represent family reunions and well-wishes, aligning with Thailand and China's longstanding relationship. The Tourism Authority adopted the concept "China and Thailand are not far apart, we are siblings" as the creative framework for presenting Thailand through Chinese creators' perspectives.
The Amazing Thailand Mid-Autumn Celebration 2026 featured Thai-Chinese cultural activities including an opening performance called "Light of the Moon, Light of Happiness," blending Northern Thai costumes, traditional handicrafts like umbrellas and lanterns, and moon goddess mythology from both cultures. The event included performances of martial arts mixed with Thai dance, cultural workshops, mid-autumn pastries, and seasonal drinks like "Moonlit Amber Tea" featuring tamarind flowers.
