Thailand's women's volleyball team defeated Chinese Taipei 3-0 to finish the group stage undefeated with nine points and advance to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Games at Ookayama Shuo Zoko Park Gymnasium in Japan. The 13th-ranked Thai team had already secured a quarterfinal spot with victories over Mongolia (3-0) and Kyrgyzstan (3-0) in earlier group matches. In the final group game, coach Kiartpong Ratwattakegriang fielded a lineup led by captain Porprapun Gerdpracha, Taddao Nuekajeang, Sasipha Junwisoot, Pimppicha Kokram, Chatchua Moksoree, and Glaewkanya Kumulathala, with Kanlayarat Kamvong as libero, facing 37th-ranked Chinese Taipei and their captain Liao Yi-chin.
In the first set, both teams competed closely early on, but Thailand dominated to win 25-22. The second set saw similar control, with Sasipha Junwisoot delivering consistent attacks as Thailand won 25-22. Thailand continued their dominance in the third set, with Taddao Nuekajeang and Pimppicha Kokram leading the way as the team secured a 25-20 victory.
