Tharachai Praises Petchsila's Form, Highlights Nakamura's Kick at RWS Knocktoberfest
Bank Tharachai lauded Petchsila's title-defending performance and highlighted Nakamura's decisive kick as the highlight of RWS Knocktoberfest. The event, powered by Leo Soda Water, featured seven bouts, awarded over 3,475,000 baht in bonuses, and saw Nakamura claim the lightweight title with a second-round knockout. Tharachai praised the fighters' preparation and hinted at future RWS-RISE crossover bouts and an exciting RWS 81 showdown on December 26.
Bank Tharachai, CEO of RWS and executive of Rajadamnern Stadium, said the Knocktoberfest lived up to expectations, though he wished there had been more knockouts. He praised all fighters for their preparation and singled out Nakamura's left-leg kick as the night's standout moment, noting it mirrored the same technique that had previously shifted a championship. Petchsila showed his class with a consistent left-hand attack over five rounds, earning the title defense and a 500,000-baht bonus, though he left the ring limping after a leg injury. Nakamura revealed he had trained the kick specifically to counter Igor Bikerov, and the successful knockout made him the new Rajadamnern lightweight champion with a 1,000,000-baht reward. Tharachai also mentioned plans to send RWS fighters to challenge RISE kickboxing titles and previewed the upcoming RWS 81 event on December 26, promising another thrilling show to mark the stadium's anniversary.
