An electric vehicle collided with a sedan on Khao Yai, injuring four people. The EV, carrying three passengers returning from a trip, was hit by a speeding grey‑black sedan whose driver appeared intoxicated and spoke incoherently. The crash occurred at 16:30 on October 11, 2026, on Thanarat Road, kilometer 10, in Nong Nam Daeng subdistrict, Pak Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima. Rescue units from Nong Nam Daeng Sub‑district Administration Organization responded, finding the green EV’s front severely damaged with broken glass and a damaged front tire; inside, two Thai nationals suffered injuries, one with a broken arm, and a foreign national with a head laceration and broken teeth. The opposing sedan’s front was heavily damaged, its glass shattered and tire burst, and its lone driver was injured and showed signs of intoxication. Injured parties were taken to Pak Chong Nana Hospital. The EV’s owner said they had traveled from Ayutthaya Province to Khao Yai for tourism and were heading back when the sedan struck them. Political commentator Piyabutr Saengkanokkul’s concept of “entertainment democracy” describes drama‑filled, rhetoric‑heavy politics that boosts public interest but narrows ideological debate. The term is now being used by Thailand’s blue‑party leaders, while critics argue it masks deeper frustrations over issues like senate election allegations, flood response, and local fraud. The opposition is urged to reassess its stance as the political climate remains polarized.
