EV Crashes Into Gas Station Bathroom, Injuring 21-Year-Old
An electric vehicle plowed into a gas station restroom in Lampang province, collapsing the wall onto a 21-year-old man who was inside. The driver reportedly mistakenly shifted into drive instead of reverse, causing the crash. The victim suffered injuries to his face, torso, arms and legs and was taken to a local hospital after receiving first aid.
At approximately 14:30, an electric vehicle struck the toilet facility of a petrol station along the Lampang-Chiang Mai highway in Hang Chat, Lampang. The impact caused the restroom wall to collapse, trapping a 21-year-old man who was seated inside. Rescue workers provided preliminary treatment before transporting him to Hang Chat Hospital for further care. Preliminary investigations suggest the driver mistakenly shifted into drive (D) instead of reverse (R), causing the vehicle to lurch forward and crash into the building. The victim sustained injuries to his brow, torso, arms, and legs.
