Three Chinese Men Arrested for Selling Counterfeit Cosmetics and Skincare Products; Over 700,000 Items Seized
Police arrested three Chinese nationals and seized over 704,000 counterfeit cosmetics and skincare products being sold online across five locations in Bangkok and Samut Prakan on April 29.
Police arrested three Chinese nationals, Sengzin, Choo Yong, and Chadong, for illegally selling counterfeit cosmetics through online channels. Authorities seized over 704,000 counterfeit and trademark-infringing items including sunscreen, makeup sets, and skincare products on April 29, 2569.
Under the direction of Pol. Maj. Gen. Tasnaphumi Charuprach, the Bureau of Intellectual Property and International Trade Crime Investigation Division conducted coordinated raids at five locations including a warehouse in Samut Prakan and two locations in Bangkok.
During interrogation, Sengzin confessed to the charges, while the other two suspects denied involvement. They face charges of possessing counterfeit goods with forged trademark labels for the purpose of sale. The suspects and seized items have been transferred to investigators for further legal proceedings.
