Unknown Attackers Torch Vehicles, Scatter Nails on Yala Road
Unidentified attackers torched vehicles and construction equipment on a Yala highway early September 20, also scattering nails and destroying security cameras on Highway 410 in Bannang Sata district.
At 2:30 a.m. on September 20, unidentified attackers struck the Ban Phong Yamu area in Bannang Sata district, Yala province, causing extensive property damage and disrupting traffic on Highway 410. Initial investigations revealed multiple acts of sabotage: two motorcycle tires were set ablaze on the highway, a suspicious cylindrical black object with electrical wiring was placed in the road center, and sailboat nails were scattered across the pavement to create hazards for drivers. The perpetrators also destroyed two CCTV cameras by pulling them down with objects, and set fire to construction equipment including one backhoe and three road rollers belonging to a construction company. Authorities are currently gathering evidence and reviewing available security footage to identify and prosecute those responsible.
