White Car Crashes Into Power Pole in Phuket, One Dead
A white Toyota Vios crashed into a power pole at a Phuket intersection late September 26, killing one person and injuring three others; wet road conditions may have contributed to the loss of control.
A white sedan lost control and crashed violently into a power pole at the Thanutep Soi traffic signal intersection in Chalongs subdistrict, Phuket City, Phuket Province, on September 26, 2025 around midnight, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. Chalongs Police Station officers and Phuket Rescue Foundation staff responded to assist the victims. The white Toyota Vios, registration KT 5902 from Krabi, had severe front-end damage with the hood wedged against the pole.
Rescue personnel quickly assisted the injured and transported them to Chalongs Hospital for treatment, while the deceased was taken to Vachira Hospital Phuket. Security camera footage from Chaofah Tawan Wai Road captured the white sedan traveling from Phuket City toward the Chalongs five-way roundabout when it lost control at the traffic signal intersection and collided violently with the power pole.
Initial investigation notes that rain had fallen in the area shortly before the crash, suggesting wet and slippery road conditions may have been a contributing factor to the loss of control. However, the exact cause has not yet been determined. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage, examining evidence at the scene, and interviewing witnesses to determine the true cause of the accident and proceed with legal action.
