15-Year-Old Driver Dies in High-Voltage Pole Crash in Phuket
A 15-year-old driver died when his Toyota Vios crashed into a high-voltage pole on Phuket's Chao Fa Tawan Tok Road early September 27, injuring two teenage passengers.
Officers from Thalang Police Station in Phuket responded to the crash at 00:30 on September 27, 2025, near the entrance to Yod Sane Road on Chao Fa Tawan Tok Road, Tambon Thalang, Muang Phuket District. The white Toyota Vios, registered in Krabi, had skidded and struck a high-voltage pole with significant force, crushing the front of the vehicle and deploying airbags. One government power pole was also damaged.
Investigators found a 15-year-old identified as Mr. A (alias) dead at the steering wheel. Medical personnel attended the scene, and the body was transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for a full autopsy. Two other teenage passengers—Mr. B (alias), 17, and Mr. C (alias), 17—were injured and taken to Thalang Hospital for treatment.
According to preliminary witness statements, the three teenagers were traveling from Thalang subdistrict heading toward Rawai Beach when the vehicle lost control on Chao Fa Tawan Tok Road near Yod Sane Road entrance and collided violently with the electricity pole.
Investigators have documented the scene, taken photographs, and created a crash map. The case has been recorded for further investigation, including witness interviews and evidence collection to determine the cause of the accident.
