Bangkok Bus Services Operating Normally as Flooding Monitored
Bangkok's main bus operator confirmed all routes are operating normally despite flooding concerns, though six regional minibus routes have been suspended due to water accumulation in eastern Thailand.
Bangkok Bus Company (BKS) confirmed on September 27 that it continues to monitor flooding in Bangkok, surrounding areas, and across the country. The company stated that all BKS bus routes operate normally, and five Bangkok transport terminals—including Mochit 2 in Chatuchak, Ekkamai, Southern Bangkok, Pinklao, and the smaller Chatuchak bus station—remain open as usual.
Meanwhile, shared minibus operators have temporarily suspended six routes in the Eastern region: Route 46 (Bangkok Ekkamai to Rayong), Route 9916 (Bangkok Ekkamai to Kabinburi to Roi Et Market), Route 920 (Bangkok Chatuchak to Ang Khrok to Prachinburi), Route 921 (Bangkok Chatuchak to Ang Khrok to Roi Et Market), Route 9907 (Bangkok Chatuchak to Chanthaburi), and Route 9920 (Bangkok Chatuchak to Ban Sang to Prachinburi).
BKS advised travelers to check road conditions before departing and allow extra time for trips during heavy rainfall due to possible flooding and traffic congestion. The company said it would closely monitor the situation and coordinate with operators and relevant agencies to assess routes and adjust schedules as needed, prioritizing passenger safety. BKS pledged to provide full service and support while keeping the public informed of any significant changes.
