William LYKN Apologizes for Osaka Concert Gesture, Vows Caution
William LYKN apologized for imitating fans’ trembling‑hand gesture at an Osaka concert, saying he did not think about the impact and will be more careful. He told reporters at a CentralWorld event that his schedule is packed with three major concerts and that he is rehearsing after an extensive overseas tour. The singer called the incident a lesson learned and thanked fans for their understanding.
William LYKN spoke at the “The Right Solution For You” event at Eden Hall, CentralWorld, where he clarified the drama, apologized for his lack of consideration, and said he would be more cautious going forward.
He explained that the incident occurred after a clip showed him mimicking fans’ shaking‑hand pose at a concert in Osaka, which drew strong criticism as inappropriate. He admitted it was because he thought little, was playing with friends, and did not consider how the image might affect others, insisting there was no ill intent and calling it a lesson learned.
Regarding his work, William said he had just finished an overseas tour and is now rehearsing continuously for upcoming shows – LYKN, GMMTV STARLYMPICS 2026, and William S. He acknowledged that his schedule is extremely busy this year and that keeping performances fresh is a challenge.
When asked about travel, he said he had completed about 17‑18 stops on his recent trips, couldn’t recall the exact number, and noted the longest leg appeared to be a journey from America to Brazil lasting around 25 days. He added that touring is his main focus, sometimes combined with fan‑meet events, and that he must rehearse because the shows run back‑to‑back.
William expressed concern about running out of material, worrying that frequent performances could exhaust his creative ideas while fans expect new segments. He described the Osaka trip positively, saying fans were lovely, and reiterated his apology for the hand‑gesture, explaining that although he often jokes with fans, this time it may have gone too far and he will set stricter limits for himself.
He thanked fans who understood his side, saying he tries to stay in the middle so everyone feels okay, and stressed that the episode serves as a lesson he has learned.
