Woman Seeks Help After Year-Long Assault Case Stalls
A hotel housekeeper in Rayong has appealed publicly after her assault case against her ex-partner stalled with police for nearly a year, while she faces ongoing harassment and acid attack threats.
A 42-year-old hotel housekeeper has appealed to the media after her assault case against her ex-partner stalled with Rayong police for nearly a year, while she continues to face harassment and threats of acid attack. The woman, identified as Ms. A, was severely beaten by her former partner, 37-year-old Sak, in September 2023, and spent a month in Rayong Hospital recovering from serious injuries. She filed a complaint with Phe Police Station on September 25, 2023, but the case has shown no progress since.
After the assault, Ms. A attempted to separate from Sak, but he refused and continued harassing her, regularly ambushing and attacking her on her way to work. She fears for her safety, especially since her ex-partner has a history of drug involvement. Most recently, he has sent threatening messages saying he will throw acid in her face to disfigure her. Desperate for help and to push the investigation forward, Ms. A has decided to go public with her case through the media.
