The Central Juvenile and Family Court has launched its first campaign of 2025, 'Know Before You Break the Law, Think Before You Stray,' at Wichutit School in Bangkok's Din Daeng district to educate youth on legal matters and the consequences of unlawful behavior. The program addresses four critical issues affecting young people: drug abuse, cyber crimes, sexual offences, and domestic violence, helping students understand what constitutes criminal conduct and its legal ramifications while building awareness of self-protection and risk avoidance. The event welcomed school director Chanwit Phuangmatesat and his staff, with participation from court officials including Judge Ing Phaskarnten and program director Judge Chuwiwat Kiertchokchaikul. Secondary students participated in awareness marches and performed plays depicting scenarios from all four issue areas, delivering legal education through accessible, relatable activities that encourage student involvement. The program reflects the court's preventative mission to build legal understanding before problems arise, enabling children and youth to grasp their rights, duties, and the legal consequences of their actions—ultimately reducing the risk of criminal behavior and fostering responsible citizenship.
