Thai child star Nene Royal's performance of 'Zombie' on America's Got Talent continues to dominate social media. Her AGT TikTok video has surpassed 100 million views after going viral globally, earning widespread acclaim from both audiences and judges, who ranked it among this season's most remarkable auditions. The same clip has also accumulated millions of views on AGT's YouTube channel in just days, following its initial breakthrough of 64 million TikTok views in two days before climbing to 106 million.

Nene began playing guitar in first grade, though music wasn't her original passion. She typically performs in the rock and international rock genres, citing AC/DC as her favorite band and legendary guitarist Angus Young as her idol. She has previously performed at street markets and venues in Phuket to gain live stage experience.

Participating in America's Got Talent was a lifelong dream for Nene, and this performance proved that her ambitions are not only being fulfilled but also opening doors to the global stage.

Doctor Exposes Harsh Workplace Rule Limiting Bathroom Time

A doctor highlighted a patient who developed a urinary infection after her employer banned bathroom breaks exceeding 10 minutes daily, sparking debate over Thailand's enforcement of worker protections and workplace rights.

Doctor Exposes Harsh Workplace Rule Limiting Bathroom Time
2h ago Khaosod

A doctor has shared a disturbing case of a patient who developed cystitis due to her company's extreme rule restricting total bathroom time to just 10 minutes per day. Different companies have varying workplace policies depending on their operational context, but all rules must comply with labor laws and social ethics. However, conflicts between corporate policies and employee welfare are not new—many companies exploit loopholes to create rules that disadvantage workers.

Dr. Chutinart Chinudomporn recently posted about a patient dealing with harsh workplace rules. The patient suffered from cystitis and frequently held her bladder because the company banned bathroom visits totaling more than 10 minutes daily. Since her department was five minutes away, the round trip consumed her entire allowance, leaving her too afraid to use the facilities. After the company merged into Thailand's largest telecom operator, such stories became commonplace. A bus company recently prohibited employees from wearing canvas shoes, requiring leather dress shoes instead—resulting in foot pain and blisters, with 500-baht fines for violations. A Japanese-style sushi restaurant required staff to walk continuously without standing still, with supervisors punishing any employee caught stationary. Department store workers face similar restrictions against sitting all day, unable to rest even during quiet periods or meal breaks. Some workers stand for 10+ hours daily, and upon returning home, their legs can barely function.

The post went viral with 2,300 shares and numerous comments. Many people argued that if companies impose such strict rules, they should provide accommodations—for example, if limiting bathroom time to 10 minutes, bathrooms should be located conveniently nearby. Critics noted that Thailand appears to have labor laws only on paper, questioning why basic worker protections remain unenforced.

Wife's Five-Year Vigil Awakens Comatose Husband

After five years of round-the-clock care following a near-fatal fall in 2019, a Chinese wife's dedication helped her comatose husband regain consciousness and whisper "I love you" for the first time since his injury.

Wife's Five-Year Vigil Awakens Comatose Husband

A touching story has captivated the internet as a dedicated Chinese wife cared for her comatose husband for years. In 2019, Zhao Jinqian, a contract worker, fell approximately six meters from a warehouse roof while protecting a three-year-old child he was rescuing. The child survived unharmed, but Zhao suffered severe brain damage. Doctors said his chances of recovery were virtually zero, and even survival was considered miraculous.

His wife, Lang Songmei, quit her job to provide 24-hour care. She supplemented the family income by selling paintings and received financial help from the child's father, who raised about 45,000 yuan (approximately 230,000 baht) for medical treatment.

Following medical advice, Lang stimulated her husband's nervous system by gently biting his toes, a controversial but ultimately effective technique. In 2024, after five years of unwavering care, Zhao began to regain awareness. He gradually responded more to his surroundings, eventually learning to understand speech, raise his hand, and stand briefly.

On June 30, he whispered to his wife on the hospital bed: "I love you," bringing tears of joy to her eyes. During writing practice, the only word he could write was his wife's name.

The story has deeply moved Chinese netizens, many calling Zhao a "child-saving hero" and Lang a "miracle maker." While some questioned the toe-biting method, most praised her love, sacrifice, and patience in never abandoning her husband through those difficult years, ultimately bringing hope and light back into their lives.

3h ago Khaosod

On July 12, 2025, military rangers operating in Sarakaew Province apprehended two Thai men attempting to illegally wade across the Khlong Luek River and cut through barbed wire fences to re-enter Thailand at checkpoint 17 near Ban Khlong Luek in Aranyaprathet District. The first suspect, 28, has four criminal court warrants, while the second, 40, is linked to 11 cases with nine additional warrants from Pathum Thani Provincial Court, totaling 13 outstanding warrants between them.

Investigation revealed both men had worked for a call center network in Poipet since February 2022, where they chatted with victims to solicit investment and scanned faces to open mule bank accounts for 5,000 baht per account. After Cambodian authorities launched a crackdown on call center operations in June 2025, their Chinese boss and some staff fled, leaving the two men jobless and stranded in Poipet. With funds depleted, they decided to illegally cross the border back to Thailand by wading through the river and cutting through barbed wire.

Authorities arrested both suspects and transferred them to Khlong Luek Police Station for legal proceedings, while investigators continue to pursue the broader call center network and mule account operation.

Argentina's defending champions advanced to the World Cup semifinal for the third consecutive time after defeating 10-man Switzerland 3-1 in extra time on July 12. The team will face England in the semifinal on July 15 (July 16 at 3:00 AM Thailand time). Coach Lionel Scaloni acknowledged multiple areas needing improvement, saying "We must accept reality—there are many things we need to improve. But winning always makes everything better, even though we could have played better. Reaching another semifinal is historic." The 48-year-old coach downplayed the significance of facing England versus other opponents, stating "Whether it's England or Norway, we'll face a team that plays excellent football with a strong coach. Right now, physical recovery is the most important thing." Switzerland coach Murat Yakin praised his team's commitment despite playing with only 10 men, saying "This team showed tremendous determination. Even with just 10 players, we gave our all. I'm very proud of everyone."

On July 12, 2569, the Army Region 2's Narcotics Suppression and Interception Command Unit 24, working with the Nakhon Phanom Drug Suppression Command, successfully dismantled a major drug trafficking network following up on a March 23 arrest. They arrested one suspect and seized 5 million methamphetamine pills, two vehicles, and two mobile phones from a residence in Muang Nakhon Phanom District.

The operation stemmed from an earlier March 23 bust when authorities arrested one individual with 502 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in the same district. Investigators tracked the network's financial transactions and vehicles for weeks. On July 8, officers spotted suspicious activity in Nakhon Phanom Province and intensified surveillance.

On July 10 at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers raided the residence and arrested 53-year-old Saon, a Nakhon Sawan native. The seizure included approximately 5 million methamphetamine pills still being counted, two Mitsubishi pickup trucks, and two mobile phones. The suspect faces drug trafficking charges and is in custody pending further investigation.

Authorities confirmed the investigation is ongoing as they pursue other network members, commanders, and associates involved in the trafficking operation for legal prosecution.

Zlatan Slams Maddison's Performance in World Cup Qualifier

Zlatan Ibrahimović criticized Noni Maddison's performance in England's 2-1 World Cup qualifier win over Norway, saying the winger's constant mistakes made England play like they had one fewer player on the field.

Zlatan Ibrahimović, the former Swedish national team striker, has criticized English winger Noni Maddison's performance, saying he makes constant mistakes that make it seem like England is playing with one fewer player on the field. Maddison started in England's 2026 World Cup semi-final qualifier against Norway, which England won 2-1 in extra time to advance to face Argentina on July 15 local time. However, he was substituted out immediately after the first half ended. Ibrahimović commented during halftime that the change somewhat disrupted England's flow, since Jude Bellingham is England's most alert player. "But I think they're playing with one fewer player because of Maddison being on the pitch," Ibrahimović said. "Every time he gets the ball, he makes a poor decision and just wanders around." He added: "If I were Tuchel, I would have taken him off because he did nothing in those 45 minutes. Even the halftime break didn't help him. He played, but wasn't truly effective every game. England started down one player."

Bhutan Offers Monthly Cash to Boost Third Child Births

Bhutan is offering monthly cash payments of $105 per child to couples who have a third or subsequent child, as the Himalayan nation battles a 25 percent birthrate decline over the past decade and rapid youth emigration.

Bhutan Offers Monthly Cash to Boost Third Child Births
3h ago Khaosod

Bhutan's government is launching an incentive program to encourage couples to have more children as the Himalayan kingdom faces a rapidly declining birthrate and increasing emigration of young people seeking opportunities abroad. According to a Straits Times report from July 12, the annual birthrate has dropped by more than 25 percent over the past decade.

Prime Minister Dasho Cheering Tobgay has repeatedly warned about the population crisis, calling it an existential threat, and introduced the "Third Child Plus" program in June.

The scheme provides monthly financial assistance of $105 (approximately 3,495 baht) for a third child or subsequent children until age three.

With fewer than 800,000 residents and a 27 percent population decline since 2020, Bhutan's fertility rate has fallen to approximately 1.8 children per woman—below replacement level—while the proportion of elderly residents aged 65 and above is projected to increase from roughly 6 percent to 17 percent by 2049, according to United Nations projections.

Village Chief Unearths 50 Stone Age Axes in Central Thailand

A village chief in Nakhon Ratchasima has amassed over 50 polished stone axes and other artifacts collected while operating bulldozers, hoping to establish a district museum preserving the region's prehistoric heritage.

After archaeologists discovered ancient human skeletal remains and intact black Phimai pottery in Kroburee District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, officials from the Fine Arts Department's Nakhon Ratchasima office recovered additional artifacts including glass beads, iron tools, and stone axes predating the late Iron Age from the Mun Dam area in Jrakai Stone Subdistrict. Some pieces have been transferred to Maha Veeravongse National Museum for safekeeping.

Most recently, Pairojn Summat, headman of Nong Suea Bong Village, displayed over 50 polished stone axes and other artifacts he collected for more than a decade. The collection also includes iron implements, fused metal, orange glass beads, and ceramic vessels. Summat explained that while working as a hired bulldozer operator for land preparation over the years, he regularly encountered ancient artifacts buried underground and began preserving them out of personal interest.

Around 2010, while leveling farmland, he discovered iron tools, skeletal remains, and ancient pottery near an area called Non Kao at the village edge. Local authorities contacted the Fine Arts Department, which confirmed several pieces were black Phimai pottery and collected samples for study. Summat continued collecting similar items—particularly the stone axes found frequently—hoping that one day experts could authenticate them and help establish a district museum. He aims to preserve these artifacts so future generations can study this region's ancient past.
