Russia-Thailand Investment Forum Returns in Late October
Russia and Thailand will host their second investment forum October 29-31, 2026 in Bangkok, building on the inaugural event's success that generated over $3 billion in identified investment opportunities.
The Russian-Thai Business Council has announced preparations for the second Russia-Thailand Investment Forum (RTIF2026), to be held October 29-31, 2026 at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel in Bangkok. The event operates under the theme "Russia-Thailand: A New Era of Economic Partnership" and has backing from major international economic organizations including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Roscongress Foundation, and Russian Export Center, alongside the Russian Embassy in Thailand, Thai Industrial Council, Thai-Russian Business Council, Thai Chamber of Commerce, and leading companies and development institutions from both countries.
Ivan Demchenko, chairman of the Russian-Thai Business Council, stated that RTIF2026 represents an important mechanism to unlock economic potential between the two nations. The forum will serve as a key meeting point for government representatives, business associations, development institutions, leading companies, investors, and entrepreneurs from Russia, Thailand, and across Southeast Asia. Participants will exchange perspectives, build networks, and engage in direct business-to-business negotiations to transform shared interests and opportunities into concrete, implementable investment projects.
The event builds on the success of the first forum held in Phuket in late 2025, which attracted over 1,100 on-site participants from more than 10 countries worldwide. That inaugural forum generated more than 150 B2B business discussions and identified potential investment projects valued at over 3 billion U.S. dollars. RTIF2026's three-day program will cover both established sectors with longstanding Russia-Thailand economic ties and emerging high-growth industries, gradually connecting existing cooperation areas with new economic opportunities. October 29 will focus on formal welcome and networking activities, including ice hockey events, B2B business discussions, and additional activities.
