30 Beauty Queens Compete in Vintage Swimwear at Thai Regional Pageant
Thirty beauty queens will compete in Thailand's 76-year-old regional pageant on September 21, showcasing vintage swimwear styled with Hmong textiles and traditional Lanna dress at a Rangsit venue.
The 2569 Miss Thai Regional Beauty pageant contestants have completed their media presentation ahead of the main competition, which celebrates 76 years of Thailand's landmark beauty contest. The event is being overseen by Somjai Engtrakul as advisory chairman and Sininart Engtrakul as executive chair, with support from Suraphan Chareonthrop, deputy director-general of the Department of Culture Promotion, who is attending as a government cultural representative.
All 30 contestants will model in vintage-style swimwear, the signature costume of the pageant, this year incorporating Hmong ethnic textiles and jewelry alongside Lanna Thai dress and hand-woven fabric from Ban Had Seao community in Sukhothai province. The judging round will take place on Monday, September 21, 2569, at ESC Park Hotel in Rangsit under the theme "Lanna Charm."
