Santhinya files complaint with CIB chief to investigate Gan Jom Palang Foundation amid rumors of 4-5 billion baht in donations, questioning 200 million baht container procurement at Thai-Cambodian border. On November 5, 2026, at the Pithak Santi Building, Central Investigation Bureau, Santhinya Sawasdee, a political activist, submitted a complaint to Pol. Lt. Gen. Natthasak Chaowanatsai, Commander of the Central Investigation Bureau, requesting an investigation into the transparency of financial flows and operations of the 'Gan Jom Palang Chuay Sue Foundation.' Santhinya revealed he came as a stakeholder and donor to demand police investigate multiple issues following social media rumors about donations reaching 4,000-5,000 million baht, requesting equal scrutiny standards as other foundations. He asked CIB to investigate: 1. Financial trails and bank accounts of the foundation, founder Kanchit Phongpibulwet (Gan Jom Palang), his wife, and all committee members since founding on February 5, 2025, including all bank accounts in foundation's name and FC accounts, number of accounts, transfers to external individuals or private companies. 2. Container and CCTV installation project at border, examining procurement of 60 containers with CCTV and 3+ km electrical wiring in Thai-Cambodian border area (Chanthaburi-Trat) with claimed budget over 200 million baht, whether procurement followed government procedures, with witness being Vice Admiral, former deputy commander of Chanthaburi-Trat Border Defense. 3. Compliance with fundraising and lottery laws, checking if fundraising and operations comply with the Fundraising Control Act and Lottery Act B.E. 2487, demanding clear public disclosure of income-expense statements. Santhinya confirmed this complaint is not an accusation of corruption or fraud but a request for authorities to use legal powers to investigate for transparency and clarify facts for donors.
