Lawyer Tam Submits Complaint Against Kan Foundation to DSI

Lawyer Sithira Biabungerit, known as Lawyer Tam, rode a jet ski to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) headquarters on September 7, 2025, wearing a life jacket and dark sunglasses before changing into a red suit to speak with the media. He filed a formal complaint requesting an investigation into the Kan Jomphlang Chuay Soo Foundation's fundraising and operations, submitting a secret video clip as evidence of suspected misconduct.

Sithira claimed to have received substantial information suggesting the foundation operates like a criminal organization, with workers paid in cash to avoid creating a paper trail, family members and relatives providing bank accounts for transfers at 5,000 baht per account, and single deposits exceeding 10 million baht in one night. He alleged that a 10 million baht transfer was sent to an account belonging to Kan Jomphlang's wife, and that the account had been frozen by the bank before later being unlocked.

Sithira questioned the source of funding for protective gear that foundation leader Kan Jomphlang used, noting that level-4 armor costs around 6,000 baht per piece when others purchase identical items for 6,990 baht, or 2,000-3,000 baht if ordered from China. He also alleged that Kan Jomphlang obtained a bunker without expenses because materials were donated for free, and questioned whether he then solicited donations for these items. Sithira presented the secret video clip as key evidence to support the investigation and called for a deeper audit of the foundation's financial transfers, profit margins, and whether money ultimately returned to Kan Jomphlang or his associates as cash.
