Actress Leads Charity Drive to Help Temple Community

Actress and businesswoman Woonsen Viritthipa has led a team of friends to distribute food and essential supplies to low-income families, elderly people, and people with disabilities in the community around Phai Ngen Temple, where she previously helped fund a religious statue. She explained that the current economic situation has left many villagers struggling, with some going without food on certain days, prompting her to offer help as moral support.

Viritthipa also disclosed her concerns about aging and hormonal changes in her 40s, saying she has become more focused on internal health management. She clarified that her charitable work, known as "Sai Moo" (merit-making path), is not limited to just funding religious statues but extends to community welfare at Phai Ngen Temple, where she conducts relief efforts multiple times per year.

She explained that she casually invited friends who also enjoy making merit to join her efforts, and over time her small circle of helpers has grown to include people from both the entertainment industry and beyond. "Even if we can only help a little, if we can do it, we do," she said. She noted that the group provides assistance year-round as needed rather than only on special occasions, helping entire families when possible. The effort has expanded over the years as more people have heard about it and joined in, with some acting as bridges to connect others who want to contribute to the cause.
