Anutin Says Two-Party Coalition Stable, No Extra Parties Needed
Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul affirmed the ruling Bhumjaithai-Pheu Thai coalition is stable and does not need additional parties, while fellow Deputy PM Yoschanan Wongwisit guaranteed Pheu Thai will withstand the no-confidence debate and serve the full four-year term. Both ministers emphasized unity and a shared focus on national development over partisan interests during a mobile cabinet meeting in Udon Thani.
Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview on November 4, 2026, at the Mandatip Hall in Udon Thani following a dinner before the mobile cabinet meeting. Referring to his performance of the song "Chai Loey" with its lyric "70 is good," Anutin confirmed the government sees no need to bring the Kla Tham Party into the coalition. He described a warm atmosphere among ministers who stay overnight and dine together during these off-site meetings, which occur every two to three months, building genuine camaraderie. Anutin stressed that all ministers share a common understanding: this is not a Bhumjaithai or Pheu Thai government, but a government of the people mandated to serve the nation. He added that any mechanism ensuring stability and effective policy delivery remains an open option, but always based on mutual understanding and the public interest, not personal or positional gain. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Higher Education Minister Yoschanan Wongwisit, speaking as a Pheu Thai leader, dismissed concerns about the no-confidence debate, citing positive economic momentum and the need for long-term budgetary and administrative stability. He emphasized that completing the four-year term is essential for Thailand's credibility, especially after recent IMF and World Bank meetings, and for long-term development projects in the Northeast.
