Artist Satit Launches Resume Exhibition on Retirement and Reinvention

Resume exposes the identity of Satit Karunwanuttanich, sparking a drive to search beyond retirement. This is not a biography of Satit Karunwanuttanich, because in a world where everyone scrambles for success, one person's personal history may hold little meaning.

Over 66 years, he never prepared a formal resume or CV—not because he is a household legend, but because his life has been driven by 'foolosophy,' the practice of doing fun things endlessly without business backing or a final goal in sight.

The giant resume in this exhibition was not made to celebrate Satit's achievements, but to expose his failures, stubbornness, and ignorance. It shows viewers that a long creative journey does not spring from sharp intellect but from a heart willing to fall and rise again, bringing together the ordinary tools of Head, Heart, and Hand to work together. The canvases here gather all his experiences—what he calls DOT, or dots—woven into artworks that use emotion from each life stage to tell stories and pass on spirit. They embody his belief that past failure is the only thing that shapes the present, and present action is the only thing that determines the future.

Perhaps what we need to learn is not the success of the great or how to decode someone else's brilliance, but the courage to be foolish and enjoy life in our own way.

Some have said Satit was 'born, arrived, became a legend,' but those labels feel distant for an aging artist still eager to complete the work before him. For him, life is simply 'born, arrived, keep going.'

This exhibition is merely the start of the next DOT in his life: 'Don't Stop Me Now—born, arrived, keep going.'

Time, crisis, even death cannot stop this man's journey. Over six decades, a character like Mr. P has reflected a 'born, aged, nearly died' cycle, yet survived and rebuilt strength each time.

The Resume exhibition hopes to inspire everyone to set out and find their own DOTs, refusing to let 'too old' or 'time to retire' become a limit on imagination. Because the past shapes the present, and the present is what we build to determine our own future.

'If Satit can do it, so can anyone. Just keep collecting your DOTs until the day you become the most unique version of yourself.'
