Prime Minister Anusit Chanyaweerukul and Interior Minister visited the Khlong Chan public housing estate in Bang Kapi district on September 27 at 6 p.m. to assess the Bangkok flood situation. Upon arrival, the PM received a situation report from Deputy National Police Commander Samarun Nualma, then met with rescue volunteers and Energy Minister Eknath Prom Panthong's team, who had come to assist flood-affected residents.
The PM boarded a boat to distribute emergency relief bags to residents of the Khlong Chan apartment complex, where water levels reached approximately 1.5 meters. Residents thanked the PM and requested two water pumps be brought in urgently to drain the building's pump room, as occupants currently lacked access to clean water. The PM asked detailed questions about the pump specifications to ensure the right equipment would be provided.
During the visit, one unidentified man loudly challenged the PM as his boat entered the complex, shouting "Why did you come?" with a visibly disgruntled expression. An aide responded that the PM had come to bring assistance. Throughout the visit, residents called out to the PM from balconies as he departed.
Government agencies, military, police, and interior ministry personnel assisted residents with boat transport to and from their homes, while private companies including The Mall shopping center distributed relief packages.
