The assistant rector of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, accompanied by lawyer Ananchai Chaiyak, reported to Wat Phraya Krai police station on 2 October 2026 to file a criminal complaint against the owner of the Facebook page ‘Mi Rueang Lao Khwam Lap Thi Ro Wan Ploet’ and anyone who shared its posts. Dr Suwara Nakayot, finance assistant rector and acting deputy director of the International Buddhist College, said the page had published two posts on 2 July 2026 at 10:24 am and 6:25 pm, attaching her photograph and full name to identify her. The posts alleged that her appointment to managerial posts and the rank of associate professor resulted from close or special ties with senior administrators, not from merit, claiming she benefited from large‑value procurement projects, used her authority to force existing staff to resign in violation of the university’s personnel regulations, received a position and salary without performing work, had others carry out her research, obtained her rank by ‘flattering and paying’ superiors, colluded with senior monks to hinder other academics’ promotions, and allegedly consumed university funds for personal use. Dr Suwara rejected all allegations as false and defamatory, stating her appointment as associate professor followed university order No. 325/2569 dated 25 February 2026 and was approved by the university council at its 2/2569 meeting on the same date. She added that her administrative appointments as deputy director of the International Buddhist College and finance assistant rector were made under university order No. 1847/2569 dated 8 August 2026. Regarding her academic qualifications, she noted a bachelor’s degree from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, a master’s from Thammasat University, and a doctorate from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, together with research publications and academic textbooks produced in accordance with relevant criteria. She emphasized that she has never participated in any university bidding or procurement process, nor offered or received improper benefits.
