Woman Files Complaint Over False Social Media Post

Pajni, known as 'Yuey the Single-Strap Noodle Vendor,' filed a police complaint with her boyfriend against a Facebook page that falsely linked her to a senior abbot from Chula Mani Temple in Samut Songkhram province, describing the post as defamatory. Recently, Pajni and her boyfriend met with Deputy Superintendent Pichayuth Kosum at Amphawa Police Station in Samut Songkhram to file charges against the Facebook page operator. The post caused severe damage to her reputation and to the temple, and she confirmed she intends to pursue the case and seek damages. Pajni explained that she operates a noodle catering buffet business at various venues including merit-making ceremonies, ordination events, birthday parties, hospitals, and military camps. Her usual concept involves single-strap outfits but she adapts the dress code and theme to suit the event; for formal occasions, she wears proper formal attire. Regarding her relationship with Chula Mani Temple, she said the abbot is compassionate and treats her like a daughter. He is a development-minded monk who is kind-hearted and regularly hires various restaurants throughout Samut Songkhram, not just hers, to operate community kitchens to help the poor. Pajni described herself as a hardworking woman struggling to earn a living, supporting her elderly parents, grandchildren, and seven dogs. She said the Facebook page's false rumor-mongering for engagement was a serious and dirty act that damaged her honest livelihood. Her boyfriend also came forward to affirm her innocence, stating that they are dating and go everywhere together. He said the false affair rumor was untrue and deplorable, and they decided to file a complaint to protect their rights and her reputation.
