Assumption United has claimed the Coke Cup U17 Thailand Football Championship 2026 title and a one-million-baht prize, along with a pathway to international youth football development. The championship final took place on August 23, 2026, at Suphachalasai Stadium, marking the conclusion of the inaugural Coke Cup in its new format, which aims to develop Thai youth footballers comprehensively through collaboration between Coca-Cola Thailand and the Football Association of Thailand. The tournament attracted nearly 192 teams from six regions across Thailand competing in 195 matches from May to August, designed to identify and nurture promising talent for Thailand's national team.
The return of the Coke Cup marks a new chapter in youth football competition with a history spanning over four decades, dating back to Coca-Cola's support for Thai football since 1979 and the championship's launch in 1981. This year's U-17 format aligns with current youth footballer development pathways, positioning the competition as more than just a championship venue but as a platform for discovery, development, and opportunity for young players to pursue professional football and national team careers. Throughout the season, youth footballers from across Thailand experienced intense competition and continuous skill development, with teams selected from schools and institutions recognized by the Football Association competing on the same stage.
Ritima Rackyan, General Manager and Vice President of Franchise Business at Coca-Cola Thailand, stated: "Coca-Cola is proud to see the Coke Cup return and create opportunities for Thai youth footballers in the Coke Cup U17 Thailand Football Championship 2026. Throughout the season, we witnessed the determination, ability, and dreams of young players from across the country competing at their full potential. The return of the Coke Cup is not merely about reviving a historically significant competition but about creating a platform that helps new generation footballers develop themselves and see a clearer path to their dreams. Coca-Cola will continue to support youth and Thai football to inspire and create opportunities for the next generation of footballers."
Nualphan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, stated: "The Coke Cup U17 Thailand Football Championship 2026 represents an important step in developing Thai youth football. We have seen athletes from all six regions have the opportunity to compete at the national level, and we have witnessed the potential of many young talents who have the chance to advance to the national team. The competition throughout the season does not end with finding a champion but is also a process of continuous discovery and development through the association's system, particularly using the T+MASC model to systematically track and develop players. We believe that laying the foundation from the U-17 level will be crucial in producing quality footballers and increasing opportunities for the national team."
