On September 8, 2026, at 1 p.m., Chayaphol Ratanvisutthikul, the Phanasnikhom District Chief, along with Suphachai Porpimolrungroaj, the Narerik Sub-district Administration Organization head, and Phanasnikhom Police officers, inspected Village 14 in Narerik Sub-district, Phanasnikhom District, Chonburi Province, following local reports of illegal dumping of suspect industrial waste. Officers discovered a ten-wheeler truck used to transport material to the site. Initial inspection revealed material had been dumped onto the land and covered with soil, spanning dozens of hectares and potentially hundreds of tons. The truck was seized for investigation, and Chonburi Provincial Industrial Office officials were called to inspect and collect samples to determine the material type and verify whether transport and disposal complied with law.
Under initial questioning, the land owner stated he purchased the material from a local area for approximately 2,000 baht per truckload to fill his property, claiming he did not know beforehand that it might be industrial waste. Officials documented the land owner and truck at Phanasnikhom Police Station and are awaiting results from the Chonburi Provincial Industrial Office to confirm the material's nature and origin. If found to be industrial waste or illegally transported and disposed of, authorities will pursue legal action against those responsible.
