Thailand Sports Authority Honors 48 Muay Thai Champions
Thailand's Sports Authority will honor 48 muay thai champions at a grand awards ceremony Monday in Ayutthaya, recognizing fighters, trainers, judges, and organizations for their contributions to the sport.
The Sports Authority of Thailand will hold a grand awards ceremony on Monday, September 7, 2025, starting at 6 p.m. at The Cavalli Casa Resort in Ayutthaya to honor and celebrate outstanding individuals in the muay thai community. The event aims to recognize and inspire those who have contributed to the development of muay thai both visibly and behind the scenes.
The ceremony will be presided over by Sports Minister Surasak Pancharoengvarkul, alongside Chawanin Wongsaticjirugal, Governor of Ayutthaya Province; Prodpran Samammit, Deputy Governor of the Sports Authority; Somchai Poolsawat, Chairman of the Selection Committee for Outstanding Muay Thai Figures; and Nattapol Untrasane, Director of the Muay Thai Committee Office, who will present honors in various categories.
The centerpiece of the event is the presentation of 48 awards spanning professional and amateur fighters, male and female competitors, trainers, judges, and supporting organizations. Notable award winners include professional champion Tosaporn Seepromma (Khun Seuk Noi Boom Dek Sayan); amateur champion Abdulmalek Thingnamrop (Tanupeach Sangkhaprai); female amateur champion Niranwan Tangjiu (Senahjan Sakchanani); and rising star Patchannan Pannarak (Naruak Kiatruampluengchai). Other honorees include trainer Charoenthrap Chansiththi of Petchtechin Bangsaen Fight Club, promoter Thitiwatch Thiradechphong of Kiatpeach Muay Thai, and the Department of Corrections as the outstanding state organization promoting muay thai.
The event will also feature two spectacular cultural performances: "Siam Four Directions" and "Weapon of Siam," showcasing the grandeur and cultural heritage of muay thai as a national treasure. The Sports Authority aims for this honors ceremony to set standards, boost morale within the muay thai community, and strengthen partnerships across public and private sectors to advance muay thai globally.
