Thailand Honors Outstanding Muay Thai Athletes and Coaches
Thailand's government honored top Muay Thai athletes and coaches at a September 7 ceremony in Ayutthaya, recognizing outstanding professional and amateur boxers, kickboxers, and other contributors to the sport in 2024.
On September 7 at the Grand Ballroom of The Cavalli Casa Resort in Ayutthaya Province, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in cooperation with the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Sports Development Fund, and the Thai Boxing Committee, held an awards and recognition ceremony for outstanding individuals in professional Muay Thai for 2024. The event honored those who have contributed significantly to Thai boxing and achieved outstanding results in the sport.
The ceremony was presided over by Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Punthacharoenworakul, alongside sports administrators including Prodpran Samammit, deputy director of the Sports Authority's Professional Sports and Muay Thai Division; Natthapol Antrasane, director of the Thai Boxing Committee; Theerawat Silpaacha, head of Muay Thai promotion; Somchai Poolswatdi, Thai Boxing Committee member; and honored guests from the Muay Thai community.

Other award winners included camp managers, technique masters, event promoters, stadium managers, trainers, referees, and media representatives across various categories.
