Broadcaster couple Chollii Watjananon and Tin Chokkamolakit have launched Soul States, a personal fragrance line under their Thai aromatics brand CHOL Aromatique, applying aromachology science to create fragrances that reflect individual identity and emotion.
Tin Chokkamolakit, now CEO of CHOL and Associates and founder of CHOL Aromatique, explained that consumers no longer seek fragrance alone but value the experience, feeling, and meaning scents convey. "We saw an opportunity to expand CHOL's expertise into personal fragrance—a product that is more personal to the user and can reflect someone's personality, emotions, and lifestyle," he said.
Chollii noted that the customer base has evolved. "Initially, most customers were foreigners, but now we're adding Thai customers—that's what excites us. Thai people love pure essential oils for wellness, and when we launched fragrance, it gained significant attention," she said.
Chollii added that the key opportunity lies not just in fragrance sales but in expanding the brand beyond its current focus on home and wellness aromatics—which generates about 60 percent of revenue—into the fashion and lifestyle market. Growing personal fragrance into a major revenue stream would diversify the brand and open new customer segments.
