AWC Invests Over $300 Million to Transform Asia Tique Into World-Class Destination
AWC is investing over 10 billion baht to transform Asia Tique into a world-class riverside destination featuring an Avatar immersive experience, a Japanese-designed Blue Dome structure, and a cable car system crossing the Chao Phraya River.
AWC is investing over 10 billion baht in a major Chao Phraya riverside development to transform Asia Tique The Riverfront Destination into a world-class attraction. The project will feature the Avatar: Guardians of Eywa immersive experience, the Blue Dome architectural structure from Japan's Osaka Expo 2025, and a cable car system crossing the Chao Phraya River.
According to AWC CEO Wallapa Traisoratana, the company is developing the site under the AWC Lifestyle Destination concept to establish Bangkok as a premier global tourism hub. The investment includes approximately 8 billion baht in direct project development within the Asia Tique area, with an additional 4 billion baht for surrounding development.
The Avatar experience will feature immersive technology combining performance, lighting, color, and sound to create a world-class attraction that aligns with AWC's sustainability values. The Blue Dome, a 16,000-square-meter architectural structure, will serve as an exhibition and lifestyle activity center. The cable car project, budgeted at approximately 2 billion baht, will serve as both transportation and an experiential "museum in the sky" telling stories of Thai culture, history, and sustainability.
The primary target market consists of quality-conscious tourists and families worldwide seeking shared experiences. AWC is currently studying four cable car designs and exploring zip line activities with structures up to 50 meters high. The company is also developing over 20 acres on the Charoenkrung side to create an integrated riverside lifestyle destination.
