BEM Launches Art Training Program for Youth at Siam Museum
BEM launches an art training program for youth at the BEM Art Learning Centre in Bangkok, featuring museum visits and a three-month curriculum taught by professional artists to develop creative skills and portfolios.
Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) is promoting arts education for youth by launching an Art Training course as part of the BEM Art Learning Centre initiative at Khlong Toei MRT Station. This learning space enables young people to develop artistic skills and creative thinking through both classroom lessons and hands-on real-world experiences, in collaboration with accomplished artists and specialists including master watercolor painter Boonkwang Noncharoen and Pisanu Vararak, former special instructor at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang's Faculty of Architecture. They share knowledge, techniques, and insights from their professional experience with participating students.
For this session, instructors took youth to Siam Museum to experience artworks firsthand and learn about artistic concepts and presentation methods. This visit aims to broaden perspectives and inspire students as they develop their own creative work. Following the museum visit, students enter a rigorous three-month training program covering foundational line drawing, creative illustration, and the development of creative thinking processes to strengthen both technical skills and creative concepts. Participants will build a portfolio for use in applications to higher education institutions.
