BEM Opens Health Checkup Stations at Bangkok MRT Hub

Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BEM) has launched the BEM Care 2026 Health Station event to establish Suan Chatuchak MRT station as a wellness hub from September 4-6, 2026, operating 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Metro Mall MRT Suan Chatuchak, exits 2 and 3. The initiative responds to urban commuters' need for accessible, convenient health checkpoints suited to a busy lifestyle, delivered through collaboration between public agencies and private partners to bring health services and education directly to the public.

Anawat Suwanritthi, Deputy Managing Director of BEM, stated: "As a mass transit operator and core transport infrastructure for city dwellers, BEM views its role beyond simply providing safe and convenient travel. We prioritize promoting passenger health and quality of life by partnering with both public and private institutions to transform Metro Mall Suan Chatuchak into a Health Station—an easily accessible health screening checkpoint for everyday use. Good health starts with disease prevention and self-care, enabling a longer, higher-quality life."

The BEM CARE 2026 Health Station event brings together multiple health organizations including Siriraj Hospital, Piyavate Hospital, Bangkok Hospital Network facilities, Thai Red Cross Society, the Health Promotion Foundation, and numerous other hospitals and health brands. They aim to provide basic health knowledge and preventive care to the public in line with modern wellness trends emphasizing disease prevention. BEM believes that early awareness, immunization, and risk screening not only reduce serious disease risk for passengers but also build a stronger, more sustainable health ecosystem for society and mass transit systems.

Event highlights include free flu vaccinations against four strains from Piyavate Hospital (1,000 slots per day, 3,000 total over three days) for ages 15-65, and stroke risk screening using the Mobile Stroke Unit Stroke One Stop (MSU-SOS) from Siriraj Hospital, equipped with CT scanners (50 slots per day, for ages 18 and up with Siriraj patient ID). The event also features numerous free health service booths from leading hospitals and organizations offering eye and glaucoma screening, preliminary health assessments, anxiety and stress evaluations, blood glucose testing, body composition analysis, weight and BMI checks, pain relief via electrical stimulation, herbal medicine applications, organ donation registration, and health products.
