Brunei Replaces Bahrain in Thailand's 2025 King's Cup
Brunei will replace Bahrain in the 52nd King's Cup after Bahrain withdrew due to coaching staff changes. The tournament will be held in Sisaket Province from November 9‑17, featuring Oman, Tajikistan and Brunei. The draw and press conference are set for October 19 at the Gallery Hotel.
The 52nd King's Cup now has a complete set of participants after Brunei agreed to take Bahrain's place following its withdrawal. The tournament will be hosted in Sisaket Province, according to the Football Association of Thailand's plans for the 2025 King's Cup, an International 'A' Match on the FIFA calendar from November 9 to 17. Previously, the Thai FA had confirmed the participating teams as Oman (world rank 81), Bahrain (97) and Tajikistan (100). Bahrain's football association later informed the Thai FA of its withdrawal, citing a change in coaching staff and the need to review its training schedule and November fixtures. Due to the short notice, the Thai FA sent invitations to teams without scheduling conflicts, and Brunei accepted. Brunei, ranked 196th in the world, has officially confirmed its participation. For the 52nd King's Cup, the Thai FA will hold the official draw and press conference on October 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the press room of the Gallery Hotel in Sisaket.
