Cabinet Extends Thai Helps Thai Plus Program Through November
The cabinet extended the Thai Helps Thai Plus program through November with a one-time 1,000-baht payment, while increasing monthly welfare card stipends to 1,000 baht starting October to help residents cope with the energy crisis.
On September 22, 2026, at Government House, the cabinet approved extending the Thai Helps Thai Plus program for two more months from October to November 2026 as a one-time payment of 1,000 baht. The funding will operate under the Finance Ministry's authority to borrow money in response to the 2026 energy crisis impacts.
The cabinet also approved increasing payments under the 2026 state welfare card registration program. Eligible beneficiaries will now receive 1,000 baht per month, up from the previous 300 baht per month—an increase of 700 baht monthly, with payments starting in October 2026.
Clearly confirmed: Thai Helps Thai Plus phase 2 will provide a single payment of 1,000 baht covering two months, while poor cardholders will receive an additional 700 baht top-up.
