Central Group's 18th Mini Marathon Raises Funds for Women Cancer Patients
Hundreds of runners participated in Central Group's 18th charity mini marathon at Central World, with all registration fees donated to support women cancer patients and purchase medical equipment for the National Cancer Institute.
Runners from across Thailand gathered at Central World's forecourt for the Central Group Mini Marathon 18th by Good Goods, a charity running event held in light rain to support women with cancer. All registration fees, without deductions, will be donated to the Central Group Women Cancer project to purchase vacuum breast biopsy equipment for the National Cancer Institute.
This year's highlight was the race shirts, medals, and trophies designed by autistic artists from ARTSTORY by Autistic Thai under the "Colorful Mile" concept. After crossing the finish line, runners relaxed at the new "After Run Coffee Club" with beverages from Good Goods and music from DJ Jira, where participants could socialize and exchange experiences.
Somkamol Jiratiwattana, Senior Director of the Central Group, stated that the group has continuously promoted exercise while supporting Thai women in fighting cancer. Central Group was the first retail and service business to initiate a charity mini marathon in 2007, and this 18th edition reflects the group's commitment to creating a space for health, friendship, and social contribution.
In the 10.5-kilometer mini marathon category, Anucha Pada won the overall men's title with a time of 35 minutes 44 seconds, and Padma Wasunant won overall women with 44 minutes 40 seconds. In the 5.5-kilometer micro marathon, Anuchit Pada finished first among men in 18 minutes 31 seconds, and Nidya Thodpantiem won the women's category in 24 minutes 46 seconds. All finishers received commemorative medals.
The event was presided over by Naratep Chupul, Pathum Wan District Director, with support from Central Group executives including Somkamol Jiratiwattana, and representatives from the National Cancer Institute and Ocean Life Thai Insurance. The event was sponsored by Good Goods, a Thai lifestyle brand under Central, and included accident insurance coverage for all runners, while also promoting proper waste separation to protect the environment.
