Chaiyachnok Demands Evidence Before Believing Scammer Gang Allegations
Digital Economy Minister Chaiyachnok Chidchob said he does not believe the husband of Bhumjaithai MP Suchada Sang Thantham is involved in a scammer gang without evidence. He stressed that all politicians must be ready for investigation and that Suchada has already denied any involvement to the party. The minister called for a central agency investigation and said the party will await its results before taking further action.
Chaiyachnok Chidchob said that all politicians must be ready to undergo investigation and expressed confidence that Suchada Sang Thantham is prepared to clarify and cooperate. He noted that Suchada has already informed the Bhumjaithai Party that she has no connection to the alleged scammer gang. Regarding concerns about her asset declaration to the National Anti-Corruption Commission, especially loans to a foreign bankrupt company, he said the details must be clarified by Suchada herself, but preliminary inquiries show she denies wrongdoing and is ready to assist the investigation. Chaiyachnok emphasized that until he sees proof, he does not believe Suchada is involved, citing his earlier work on cracking down on scammer gangs during his first term, during which her name never appeared. He said the Bhumjaithai Party will wait for the results of the central agency's investigation before deciding on any further steps, and that any wristwatch not declared in her assets is something she must explain personally.
