Tangmo United head coach Sakol Klomprasert of Phuttharangsi Pibul School alleged that individuals approached his players before their opening match in the 7-a-side 7HD Champion Cup 2026 qualifiers, whispering betting odds in their ears and causing them to lose focus. The match took place on October 27, 2026, at Chalermphrakiat Klong 6 Stadium, where Tangmo United faced Sarasas Suksa School. Led by core player "Naw" Jetsada Laka, Tangmo United won convincingly 8-0 and advanced to the next round. After the match, Coach Sakol said the players were slightly nervous in the first game, possibly due to limited training on artificial turf. He revealed that betting offers had been made to players before the match, creating pressure. The coach emphasized that the school does not support gambling among students, but the whispering in their ears caused unnatural play. He added that the team's philosophy is to give all 15 players game time, regardless of outside influences, to build experience for future matches.
