When asked if a vote might occur on September 10, he said the outcome would depend on progress after Section 20. He reported debate statistics showing the first two days each used over 15 hours, with the government using 9 hours 19 minutes total, the opposition 13.5 hours, and committees roughly 3 hours. The government has asked opposition lawmakers to keep discussion thorough while attempting to avoid extending beyond the three-day window. Ministries with high interest, including Interior, Education, and Public Health, are expected to draw heavy questioning. He stressed the government is not obstructing debate or engaging in tactics, noting that most debate time has been used for questioning. He confirmed that two nights prior there had been a protest by government lawmakers over remarks seen as harmful to their parties and members, and that coalition meetings would continue that afternoon.
