The Coding Thailand 2026: AI Inspires the Future initiative, led by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, encourages youth and teachers to build digital skills, especially coding and AI, by solving real‑world problems, designing solutions, prototyping, and presenting ideas nationally before turning knowledge into innovation.
More than 12,000 applicants saw 210 teams from 59 provinces reach the national finals of the National Coding & AI Competition, where participants applied coding and AI to everyday challenges, creating diverse projects while learning from trial and error.
The Sun Kids team from Anuban Saeng Aroon School in Nakhon Pathom won the Best of the Best award, plus two Platinum Prizes and the Brand’s Best Idea award at the primary level for their “SUN Kids FARM” smart duck‑farming system, which uses AI and IoT to monitor barn environment, feed and water supply, duck behavior, egg sorting, and data collection for production planning. Team members are Phum (Boy) Phichaphum Bunpongcheep, Pint (Girl) Chalinee Ruptong, and Binya (Girl) Kawinthida Namsetthir, with teacher Chalongsiri Sratongn as advisor. Phum said: "At first we thought coding was hard, but after trying it ourselves we found it easy. We want to share what we’ve learned with friends and encourage others to give it a go, because trying brings knowledge, experience, and new friends."
The CareMotion team from Assumption Thonburi School earned a Platinum Prize and the Brand’s Best Idea award at the secondary level for their Edge AI‑based early‑stage Parkinson’s risk screening system. Team members are Mind (Miss) Pasree Phaisai, Phum (Mr) Punyaphat Kumanu, and Titi (Mr) Nathasit Manapiwong, advised by Ajarn Amphon Sua-ju. They noted that mistakes are chances to review, experiment, and refine solutions, showing that coding and AI are skills honed through hands‑on practice.
The Hello World team from Mae Sai Raj Vocational College in Mae Hong Son province received a Platinum Prize and the Brand’s Best Idea award at the vocational level for their “village‑loudspeaker and chat‑app flash‑flood alert system” that uses AI to warn of rising floodwaters. Members are Tiger (Mr) Intharayut Kongkachuid, Aum (Miss) Pajjaporn Thamomkan, and Bai Tong (Miss) Thidarad Phakdisai, advised by Ajarn Methinee Sawongpanya. Tiger said the competition let them apply coding and AI to create real‑world solutions for community problems.
