Contractor Files Complaint Over 61 Million Baht In Unpaid Wages
A Rayong-based contractor filed a complaint seeking 61 million baht in unpaid wages and project installments owed since 2023, claiming the contracting partner has ignored repeated payment demands despite completed work.
On September 10, 2025, Thanik Thansiripraserit, a factory manager, along with about 20 employees, submitted a formal complaint to the Rayong Dharma Center requesting assistance and intervention to resolve a payment dispute. The company claims to be owed more than 61 million baht in unpaid wages and project installments from its contracting partner.
The company, headquartered in Makhamkhoo Subdistrict, Nikomapatnon District, Rayong Province, is involved in two projects—one in Khon Kaen Province and another in Rayong Province. According to the complaint, the company signed contracts and began work in 2023, with the first payment due from November 1, 2023 through September 10, 2026, spanning 1,044 days. However, the company claims it has not received payment for completed work, totaling approximately 61,140,000 baht.
The company stated it has repeatedly attempted to collect payment through written requests, emails, meetings, phone calls, and various other channels, but has not received full payment or written confirmation of a settlement plan. The outstanding debt has forced the company to use its own capital and borrowed funds to continue operations, severely impacting its liquidity and cash flow, and straining its ability to pay staff, subcontractors, suppliers, taxes, and operating expenses.
Thanik requested that government agencies help coordinate with the contracting party to recover the unpaid amounts, as the company has borne operational costs for an extended period. The company has prepared supporting documents including contracts, invoices, delivery records, payment receipts, demand letters, emails, messages, meeting minutes, and correspondence with the contracting party for verification.
After receiving the complaint, Tharinthon Nuan Chawi, Director of the Rayong Dharma Center, along with Prachaya Wandi, a senior labor specialist and representative of labor welfare and protection, accepted the document and will submit it to the Rayong Governor for further action. The allegations regarding the unpaid balance and project details are based on the company's complaint and remain under investigation by relevant agencies and the contracting party.
