Police Arrest Three Suspects, Seize Three Firearms
Police arrested three teenage suspects in Bangkok's Sainam area and seized three firearms, including homemade weapons, after stopping unregistered motorcycles during routine patrols.
On September 10, 2026, under the command of Police Region 2 Deputy Commander Seksilp Suphaouan and Sainam Station Commander Nathachapong Kiram, officers led by Deputy Station Commander Sanchai Keerirat and other personnel arrested two 16-year-old suspects with a .38 caliber pen gun and one round of ammunition in the Sainam area of Bangkok. The arrest followed a routine patrol when officers spotted a motorcycle without registration plates and attempted to stop it, leading to a chase before the suspects were apprehended.
In a separate incident, a 17-year-old suspect was arrested with a homemade .38 caliber short gun and three rounds of ammunition, while an 18-year-old was arrested with a semi-automatic homemade .380 caliber firearm and three rounds of ammunition. Both were caught near Phrapra Ruang Prasit Temple in the Sainam area after officers on patrol spotted unregistered motorcycles and attempted to stop them. All suspects were handed over to investigators for legal proceedings.
