Deputy PM Inspects Labor Institute as Temporary Campus for Uten Thawai

On September 24, Deputy Prime Minister Yossanan Wongswaddi and a senior management team visited Samut Prakan province to assess the State Vocational Training Institute 1 as a potential temporary campus site for Rajamangala University of Technology Isan's Uten Thawai campus. After inspecting the facility's buildings, laboratories, and training workshops, Yossanan stated that the institute demonstrated satisfactory readiness, particularly for vocational and engineering programs.

"The infrastructure here is well-prepared," Yossanan said. "There are large training facilities, machinery, and comprehensive technical laboratories that align perfectly with Uten Thawai's hands-on teaching approach. Using this space as a temporary location will allow students to continue their studies and training immediately without compromising academic standards."

Yossanan credited the Ministry of Labour for its full cooperation, emphasizing that solving this challenge requires coordination across all sectors. He stated that government priority is ensuring a seamless transition with safe facilities, complete equipment, and convenient working conditions for instructors. Follow-up work by both ministries will identify any necessary facility upgrades or improvements needed before full capacity operations.

Addressing student concerns about relocating, Yossanan noted that safety remains the government's core principle. He acknowledged students' attachment to the current site but stressed that recent violence had threatened security for both students and the public. The new location aims to reset disputes and provide genuine educational safety. "We are not simply moving to escape problems—we are laying the foundation to improve Uten Thawai's educational environment. All support measures during the transition have been prepared," he said.
