The Thai Meteorological Department issued its seventh warning on September 24 regarding heavy to extremely heavy rainfall affecting Thailand through September 27, 2026. From September 24–27, the northern, lower northeastern, central, eastern, and southern regions, as well as Bangkok and its vicinity, will experience heavy rain in many areas and extremely heavy rain in some locations. A strong low-pressure system from Cambodia will move across the lower northeast, east-central regions, and Bangkok, while the southwest monsoon intensifies over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
Publics are warned to exercise caution against severe rainfall and continuous accumulation that may cause flash floods and flooding, especially in foothill areas and low-lying zones. Travel through repeatedly flooded routes should be avoided, particularly low-lying areas prone to short-term inundation. Waves in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand are expected to strengthen, with the upper Gulf and upper Andaman reaching 2–3 meters, exceeding 3 meters during thunderstorms. The lower Gulf and lower Andaman will see waves around 2 meters, exceeding 2 meters during thunderstorms.
Boaters in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea should navigate with caution and avoid thunderstorm areas. Small boats in the upper Gulf and upper Andaman should remain ashore through September 27, 2026. Affected provinces include: Nakhon Ratchasima and Buriram (lower northeast); Saraburi, Ang Thong, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom, and Samut Sakhon, plus Bangkok and vicinity (central); Nakhon Nayok, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Sa Kaew, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat (east); Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit, and Phetchabun (north); Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Surin, Si Sa Ket, and Ubon Ratchathani (northeast); Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Lopburi, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, and Samut Songkhram (central); and Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, and Surat Thani (south).
