The National Savings Fund is launching a digital finance campaign targeting informal workers, freelancers, traders, and self-employed professionals, inviting them to turn rainy days into opportunities for building financial security through an online app. Contributions start at just 50 baht per transaction, with members receiving lifetime pensions after age 60.

Recognizing that the monsoon season creates hardship for informal workers through flooding, traffic congestion, and reduced sales, the National Savings Fund is promoting its digital infrastructure to help people build long-term retirement security without spending time traveling to physical offices. The smartphone app is designed for flexibility and meets the needs of self-employed workers.

Members simply download the app, verify eligibility, and register to begin saving. Contributions range from 50 baht to a maximum of 30,000 baht per year, with the government matching up to 100 percent of contributions (maximum 1,800 baht annually). Savers can adjust monthly contributions based on income fluctuations without losing membership status.

Key benefits include government matching contributions of up to 100 percent based on age (maximum 1,800 baht yearly), immediate returns from the first deposit, high flexibility with a minimum 50-baht contribution, government-guaranteed returns and lifetime monthly pensions from age 60 onward, and annual tax deductions up to 30,000 baht.

Eligible applicants must be Thai nationals aged 15 to 60, not enrolled in government pension schemes or certain social security programs, and can register and save through the National Savings Fund mobile app. For more information, call the savings hotline at 02-049-9000 or visit www.nsf.or.th.
