Ayutthaya Welcomes Volleyball Star Home After Asian Games Bronze
Ayutthaya honored volleyball star Omsawin Chanthavisuth with a homecoming ceremony after she secured bronze for Thailand at the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship.
On September 24, Ayutthaya City Park shopping mall held a welcome and honor ceremony for Sashipharp Chanthavisuth, nicknamed "Omsawin," a women's volleyball player for the Thai national team from Tha Ruea District, Ayutthaya Province. The setter earned recognition for her outstanding performance in securing the bronze medal for Thailand at the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, bringing honor to her province, country, and the international stage. The event drew provincial administrators, government and private sector representatives, and the public, who gave her a warm welcome. The celebration included a tribute trophy presentation, commemorative gifts from various organizations, distribution of signed volleyballs to local schools, and festive entertainment featuring drum processions and performances by senior citizens' groups and school musical ensembles, all amid an atmosphere of joy and pride.
