Director Jack The Ghost Celebrates 2.5 Billion Baht Box Office Hit

Director Jack Wattharapol Frantzen, known as Jack The Ghost, is celebrating the massive success of his horror film "Confession of a Spirit Doctor," which has grossed 2.5 billion baht at the box office. The film marks his second production to surpass the 100 million baht milestone, following his earlier success. Jack expressed his astonishment at the film's performance, stating it far exceeded his initial expectations and has bolstered his confidence in future projects. He has made a clear commitment to produce only horror and thriller films under his production unit.

In an interview, Jack reflected on the journey: "If I'm being honest, this is the second film that has crossed 100 million baht. It's beyond words—it exceeded everything we imagined. We typically aim for 100 million as a starting point. Everyone prays when we make a film that it will reach 100 million. The first one, 'Next to Me,' reached 130 million, and now 'Confession of a Spirit Doctor' has reached 250 million. It's far beyond our dreams for a show that started as an online program and was adapted into a feature film with quality actors and a professional production team."

When asked if future projects will feel pressured to match this success, Jack said his confidence has increased. He revealed that he and his team have already selected around 10 stories from fan requests but will prioritize which to adapt based on their potential. Jack emphasized that the appeal lies in bringing listeners' imagined stories to life on screen, similar to how readers visualize book adaptations like Harry Potter. He firmly stated that his production unit will focus exclusively on horror, ghost stories, and thriller films under the brand "The Ghost Radio."

When questioned about whether he now expects every film to reach 100 million baht, Jack laughed and said: "I'm hopeful. We demonstrated that when we make something, it captures people's interest. We're not cutting corners or rushing things."
