At 11:30 p.m. on July 4, 2025, Pattaya City Police Station received a report of a vehicle collision at a red light intersection on Sukhumvit Road in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. A green Tank 500 SUV with Bangkok license plate 3ขธ 6000 had rear-ended a black Toyota Yaris, which was waiting at the light, causing severe damage to the rear of the Yaris. The Yaris driver, Thawatchai, 37, reported that the Chinese tourist's SUV approached at high speed and struck his vehicle hard, pushing it forward to collide with two motorcycles ahead. The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a warning about Typhoon Maysak (ninth advisory, 112/2569) effective July 5, 2025.
